Drinking Stats -10/12

7 Waboritas
less than one case of pacifico

WOW! Unbelievable, I think they hit a wall. Not too high on the drink count on Thursday.

I was laid up with a bad back. Praise the Mexican Farmacia! 6 flexeril and a diet coke, and I'm like new again!

Drinking Stats - 10/11

1 Coca Light

Pool Day

The day started uneventful with a quick dip in the pool. That was the tip of the iceberg that would take down the unsinkable Barbara. It was a beautiful calm morning in God's country at the scene of the crime.

None of us believed that our innocent Barb could get lured in by the evil liquor named "Vodka**." Like a schoolgirl climbing into a van because they had candy; Barb was led astray.

Never realizing that her "drink" was on; she continually reached out to other guests around the pool. She was on a mission to meet everyone she possibly could. Randy, ever the diplomat, was attempting to calm down the Barbster and make overtures to the other guests. I believe his standard greeting was "She's drunk."

Although the Barbster was taken in by the evil liquor, she did not let it keep her down. After a long nap she was in fine shape the next day.

**I'd like a disclaimer here; I've had some dealings with that substance; it's nothing to be played with (unless you're highly trained such as myself.)

Pool

Our morning started with an idea from Randy to "take a quick dip" in the pool. The quick dip lasted all day. The bloodymarys were bountiful and the sun was HOT, HAWT, HOT. We're all various shades of red. The sunscreen didn't do it's job. Or maybe the fact that we forgot to keep reapplying was the problem.

Speaking of problems, my cell phone took a header into the water. Along with the phone, one of the walkie talkies took a dunk as well. Oopsie!

And, in the bizarre category, I ended up with two different pair of flip flops at the pool. I'm not sure why.

Troy is going to give more details of the day. Stay tuned.

Drinking Stats - 10/10

750 ml bottle of vodka for bloody marys
2. 5 cases of beer

That's all I remember because I was in bed by 5 p.m.

Drinking Stats - 10/8

The boys have suggested a new daily entry called "Drinking Stats." I'm leary, because quite frankly, my mother reads this blog. Her last comment to me was "Do you ever do anything besides write about drinking?" To which I replied, "Of course. But sober stories usually aren't as funny." So we are going to give this a try and see how it works out.

And Mom, if you're reading, could you do an ebay search for liver + replacement?

Here is the tally for consumption yesterday between 3 people:

Start: 10/8/2006 - 12:30 pm MDT

3 cases Pacifico
Round after Round at Lat22 bar
9 Waboritas
3 Can't drive 55

End: 10/9/2006 3:00 am MDT

Sunday = FUNday

We made it from DFW to SJD without incident. TheAAnk goodness!

We watched the Cowboys lose their a$$ to the Eagles from Latitude 2.( I might add that the little loss just added to my already suffering fantasy football defeat. ARGH!!@!#@##) Latitude 22 is a great place to watch a Cowboy beating because you can see Land's End from the bar. WoOt!

At Latitude 22, there was a sweet little puppy. He ran back and forth, licking toes, nipping at shorts, and generally begging for his belly to be scratched. And, his name was DUKE! This is the second week in a row that I've been surrounded by cute puppies named Duke. Apparently, I'm not allowed to have anything associated with DUKE - except a t-shirt. Irony is a cruel, cruel thing.

We ended up at the Cabo Wabo Cantina. This is where I start losing track of what happens. I do remember being soooooo angry at Rod. I am quite sure I talked smack about kicking his ass, however I think I passed out before any ass kicking ensued. I bet Rod was thankful for that little technicality.

Sadly, a bad post because I can't remember any of the funny things that happened. I vow to be better today.
