Saturday - SJC

We’ve arrive, but as we suspected, we are unable to connect to the internet. We will have to wait until Monday for David to come and check our settings. Cross your fingers that the Cam will be up and functioning.

We’ve decided to do dinner local tonight at one of our favorite places in San Jose del Cabo, Jazmines. This gem is located off the Square so you must walk uphill (think San Francisco) from the Church end of the square about three blocks, turn right at the Bancomer, and look in windows. As is custom in the Baja, there is not adequate signage to indicate you are at your destination.

We started with some cold Pacifico, since they were out of bottled water. We had some great guacamole and tortillas and some fresh chipotle salsa. MMmmmm…

Although we’ve dined at Jazmines about 9 times and sampled many of their entrees, tonight each of us settled on a classic Mexican meal, Chile Rellenos (90 pesos). These are the best chile rellenos around town. Everything is always so fresh, and their ranchero sauce is dreamy. Rachel Ray, eat your heart out.

We finished dinner and headed back to the car. We had to get groceries prior to 10 p.m. We stocked up on the basics and headed back to the condo.

We closed our evening after agreeing we were all tired and needed sleep realizing this will probably be our only decent night of rest in the coming week.

As a side note, the temperature here is almost uncomfortable. It’s very humid, the effects of Otis still lingering in the air. The sun is very intense; I don’t recall October being this hot from any of our other visits.
